LOL so true. I'm sure I'm not to your point yet but getting there fast. At 3 months I wanted my rocks to color up faster so I read up on how to boost the growth and took steps to do it. Now two months later it's growing...on a little on my rocks, better on the glass and reeeaal good on anything plastic in the dt. I scrape new spots off the front and side glass every morning. Already can tell that I made a newbie mistake by encouraging it LOL

Very strange I get Coralline growth in my tank with just a single 50/50 bulb and no additional add-ins for my 15 gallon FOWLR. The only thing I do is 10% water changes weekly. In my 29 BC the coralline is epidemic with how fast it grows (standard BC lights). I have heard it just depends on the tank. I did buy all of my LR with heavy Coralline growth which I am sure has helped a lot.

    Mr. Tuxedo to the rescue

For those who have an overgrowth of Coraline - I have a Blue Tuxedo Urchin in my tank who lives off the Coraline. He keeps it to a minimum only because he can't eat any more. Also keeps other algae off the rock and back of tank. Won't go near the sand however.

I just added a Black Widow Blastomussa - Single polyp mounted on a square frag tile. Mr. Tuxedo did a slow dance around the polyp scarfing up the Coraline without any damage to the coral. Also did the same with three other new corals I added. So I would say that they appear to be aware of the corals and don't damage them. I don't have any zoa's, so I can't speak to that issue.
