Ok my coralline has been growing like CRAZY! its slow on the rocks but has been growing, but on my glass its REALLY bad it's not purple yet, just a bunch of orange splotches EVERYWHERE i can't get it off, ive tried the credit card and razor blade idea and i still cant get it off, i want it on the rocks but not on the glass, any other tips besides the two mentioned on how to get it to come off before it takes over worse than it already has

maybe its just the wrong angle im afraid to keep using the razor blade, im afraid im going to scratch the glass even more than it already is from the magnent cleaner, is it possible for the credit card to scratch the glass, im just worried about putting to much pressure and scratch my glass

ok so long it wont scratch the glass ill do it harder all of the spots are small but their in big patches all over the glass, i cant see them from far away but if im up close its bad and the corralline really screws up any pics i take cause it zooms in really good at the algae but not at the fish or corals

as suggested, the plastic scrapers or razor blades work best. I am pretty OCD about how clean my tank is, so the best thing I have found is regular scraping.....My tank is usually scraped once, if not twice a week. If I go too long between scrapings, it is harder to get off.

It is a glass tank right? The razor blade could be dull. It doesn't make sense??

x2 you need a brand new razor.. slide it over the coralline at a 30 to 45 degree angle and keep moving it back and forth. it will usally come off after a few passes.. make sure you keep 100% of the blade surface area on glass.. this will prevent scratches from the edges.. I have a little plastic handle now that holds my flat edge razor blades in. its easier but a 1 sided razor blade works too just takes a little longer.. now go frag me some coralline. :)
