    Is it easier to make Coralline or to sustain it?:-/

    Both require the same amount of "effort". As long as you keep your alk/ca/mag levels up, you should have no problem growing it or keeping it.

    Its a healthy indicator

    hi,
    Mine went south one day and so did CA, mg, phos, its all related, so if the coraline starts to die. run test ASAP.

    Light and water flow are also important in growing and maintaining coralline. Growth is usually represented by small white patches, however, large areas of white repreent bleaching dying coralline!

    I did have two patches of white on my lr. It went away but I think that is from when the temp went so high in my tank, which also caused the hair algea bloom. Glad that's under control!
