Hey guys im planning on a 35g tank (boyu TL550) well since im from mumbai, india, summers here reach to 40C and sometimes even more. Iv kept reef tanks with chillers (hailea) at 82f, but since i lost around 1000$ on them since they are not repairable, im planning on going witout chiller tank with big fans.. as in my other tanks (fw) iv seen the temps going down to 84f from 90f so if i add 2 fans, i can control temps dbetween 84 and 87. I would like to know what corals i can add? I dont mind softies only... i jus wana add some for the look, rest just one gbta and a few fishes. Iv read gbta can thrive at high temperatures.. corals im intrested in are GSP, zoas, leathers and mushrooms. Ill use an ATO for the evaporation issue.

I am currently seeing temps from 79-85 in my +300 gallon system. I have all types of coral. I think what is important here is the rate at which this change occurs.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have gone this direction, my findings are, chronic high temps in a closed system are detrimental, anything above roughly 83 F.

Ill add 2 giant fans...

I had a friend that lived in India, his parents wanted to remove his tank as well, I know it's hard to get stuff also. Get some computer fans if easier, you can DIY mount them. Stick to Colt coral, Anthelia, Xenia, Sinularia. Hardy soft corals.

Yeah they might. I am inclined to think that you'll have more issues with stony corals. You could try a Goniopora though, they are often collected in back reefs.
