Corals Beautys in a reef

    im interested in adding a coral beauty in a 46gal reef tank anyone got exp with them in a reef?

    first off jay , i guess you have to heed the warning that dwarf angels might nip at coral and clam mantles. in my experience, ihave both a coral beauty and a flame , another oddity , 2 angels living together. lol. but neither of mine have done any nipping. but that said, i know others have had bad experiences with them nipping. hope this helps and doesnt confuse. lol

    There are some ppl that state that their Angels and CB's dont nip at their corals, I am NOT one of those ppl. Its a 50/50 chance that you take.

    I had a coral beauty and it ate my zoanthids - it ended up dying one day. I think they gave it a horrible case of indigestion.

    yeah i know i usually hear more positive then negative about them...tough call

    I had one when my reef was lite. Maybe only 3 or 4 frags and didn't mess with anything. I lost him in a 3 day power outage. I always wanted to get another one but stopped getting fish and went for coral. Intrested to see where this thread goes.

    yeah i am always very cautious be4 i add new fish because i dont want too add him and then have to catch n get rid of him not fair 2 the fish

    if the lfs takes in store credit then try it and if it doesnt work then return it to them.

    i have had them and i had no real problems, of coarse i have a lot of coral and it is hard for one small occasional nipping to hurt a lot of coral
