your running pellets in the tank with the problem? bio pellets are not the greatest thing since sliced bread... they come with problems. if the tank your having problems with has pellets hooked up. look for answers there. research "corals dead bio pellets"
also look into what the bacteria from bio pellets does to oxygen levels in your tank. bacteria eats oxygen.

One thing that for sure didn't kill them was the rust though, like mentioned before,we add rust in the form of iron based ferric oxide.I think i still use the same razor blade that i started this hooby with. It's pretty bad.lol

I don't think I seen copper mentioned (sorry if someone did,i just skimmed the thread) but have you tested for that?

Are you running a skimmer? If not, the bacteria from the biopellets is not being removed from the water column, and thus the whole point in that method of nutrient export is null and void. The bacteria will die, and return the nutrients to the water.

250gl of biopellets???? In a 20g tank. WAYYYYY too much! When you add that much biopellet you dropped your pH to nothing! I am surprised anything survived. Also what are you running your biopellets in? Is the surface of the pellets "bubbling" If not, then they just produce a gas that gets released into the tank and kills everything

I am impressed with biopellets but I would NEVER run them on anything smaller than a 75g tank.........just my opinion though. If not used properly it can cause a TON of problems
