how long can certain corals survive out of the water? in mind i have favia's and zoa's. but other corals would help for future reference. i had my zoas out of the water and they are just staying closed up. they were out for a good 30-45 seconds. TIA

in nature corals are out of water often as tide recedes and so on. they can withstand being out of water for up to 45 min. to an hour

Zoa's could live a long time out of the water.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
They are shipping zoanthids and other corals with just moist newspaper now so I pretty sure yours will be fine.

yeah I wouldnt worry about most corals.......I do not move any of my corals during waterchanges, with the exception of one: SPONGES should never be allowed to touch air even for a second. They should be bagged underwater with the bag burped of any air, and the sponge (and water) should be opened underwater.

yes, two favias. im afraid one has a "head" part that has come off the rock. (the rock its on is superglued to the plug)
