You can't stop/slow down mother nature. :) The only way to slow down the growth of your green star polyps is to place a strong stinging coral near them. You can't stop a kenya tree coral from dropping babies.

I had some palys taking over my tank, I took the rock out and broke it into 3 pieces, then traded it to the lfs for store credit. The other rocks that had them on it I basically scraped them off with a razor blade. You need to make sure to get the base really well if you want to do this.

about a week ago i took my rock that was infested with gsp our and went at it with a screwdriver and a razor. if you can get under the mat and you're extremely lucky you can pull off some good chunks of the stuff. you can then either throw it away or super glue it to your overflows or back wall of the tank or the siphon to a filter or anything you want. i would probably just throw them away though...

I'd be seriously interested in buying a piece of that kenya tree from you. I've been looking to get one but no good LFS around me to get one from.

both of these species have a habit of turning up in unexpected places, which is in addition to the spread you can see, sometimes small bits get dragged off and carted around by snails and crabs etc and a new colony appears in a place you would not have expected it, totally isolated from the mother colony
well my GSP and Anthellia have both done this

Ill frag them and send them to your good friend Greebs
