I downsized my 33 gallon to a 10 gallon (big jump I know). I sold all of my fish except my 2 clownfish but I kept all of my coral. What I am using for lighting is two 20w mini compact flourescent 50/50 bulbs. 50% Actinic and 50% 10,000k daylight. It has been about 4 days now since the transfer and everything seems fine so far. The corals I have under this lighting are:
    -Kenya tree Coral
    -2 Different kind of Zoos
    -Button Polyps
    -4 different kinds of Mushrooms
    -Clove Polyps
    -Montipora Digitata
    -Montipora Capricornis
    -Devil's Hand Leather Coral
    -Large Frogspawn
So far it has been 4 days and all of the corals seem just as happy compared to when they were under my T5's in the 33gal. Is 4 days long enough to tell if everything will be ok? I figured if they weren't happy by 4 days I would see some of the corals going downhill but so far have not. Are the mini compacts going to be able to keep all my corals happy?

i think so holly, just remember it won't take long at all for something bad to happen to a 10g nano with all that coral it could go bad quickly. thats the only bad thing about a small tank so, keep both eyes on it at all times and you will be ok:)

IMO you can expect an unhealthy change in the Montis. Everything else should do well.

Yea, I have done a lot of research on keeping a nano and I am constantly checking on my tank throughout the day :)

+1 on the montis, I would think that if any of them are going to take a turn for the worse it is going to be the montis first (as far as lighting is concerned). I would keep an eye on them and possibly the frogspawn, everything else should be ok.

Here are some info for you..

Kenya Tree Coral: Moderate to High
    Frogspawn: Moderate to High
    Clove Polyps: Moderate to High
    Montipora Digitata: Moderate
    Montipora Capricornis: Moderate
    Zoos: Moderate
Button Polyps: Will tolerate very low light levels, especially if they are otherwise fed, but tend to develop brighter colors under higher intensity lighting.

I know for a fact the montipora will not like a PC lighting. As for the other they are more demanding. I wouldn't recommend a PC for those corals that require moderate to high lighting. It will take a bit for your corals to take a dive. It all comes down to proper spectrum. Also, frogspawns do have long tentacles to get food, but will sting other corals.. Now that you have a smaller area, this may be a concern.
