The Red Montipora is the only thing that looks like it is doing well. It has maintained its color and is still dark red. It lost some on one side when it fell behind a rock and i had not noticed for a day but it turned back to the deep red already. I have both pieces high in the tank also

I also disagree that you can't have growth with T5's. I know multiple folks that have amazing growth with them. So your lighting id definitely not a concern.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you are dosing trace element, often they include iodine, it has been my experience that iodine is not needed in smaller tanks and most trace elements are replaced by routine water changes.

I would get another test kit and stop dosing everything until that time and not dose any product containing iodine.

Please answer the questions people have asked you.

    How old is your tank?
    What is your sg?
    What dimensions are your tank?
What are your params when using liquid test kits?

Btw, what you think is enough flow, really is not. Also, just because you are a biochem major doesnt mean you cant screw something up or can do whatever you want when it comes to dosing. If you dont test for it, dont dose it.

Tank is 6mo old. Salinity is 1.026(srry forgot to add that), and i do partial top offs everyday to maintain that as best as i can.
Magnesium has not been tested in a while honestly. From what ive researched it is very slowly depleted from a tank requiring minimal dosing. However I was panning to have it tested soon. As for the strips, they were ONLY A TEMPORARY solution to my problem of not having the liquid test. I understand how unreliable they are. (Have been running pools as a CPO(certified poo oper) for the last 5 years. Water top offs are done with bottled distilled water. I do not use tap, only to clean but i have well water with a water softner so water isnot tainted with horrible stuff
