Corals?

A friend of mine was wanting to give me these corals and I was just curious as to what they are. I'm new to the reef side of things, so I currently only have one coral and am trying to familiarize myself with different species.

 

It's a soft coral, could be a leather (sinularia) or a Colt..A hardy coral, mod flow, mod to lower lighting. Does not require target feeding, might take phytoplankton though. Try not to move it around a lot, they are picky about moving around.

I agree, it does look like a Colt or Kenya Tree. These can and will take over your tank if that is what it is. If you think you will ever keep SPS, clams, etc, then I would pass.

 

Yup, pretty sure its kenya tree. Looks exactly like my kenya trees when they are closed up They grow easily, pretty cool coral actually, love mine
