lol Did they do anything or just tell you to let it leave.

Thankfully, I don't live any further south anymore. Once you get down towards lake Okeechobee, pythons become an issue.

I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale. Pythons are a huge issue down there, as I am sure you are well aware of.

LFS gets them in all the time, not a fan of the 499.99 price tag though ;)
relocated it to a place without people.
Coral springs is just outside of Ft. Lauderdale. I don't remember hearing too much about pythons when I lived there but that was 10 years ago.

    VA Reef,

I got a corn snake for my daughter 4 years ago. When we got her she was about 12 inches long and as thick as a pencil. Now shes 51" long as thick as a 50 cent piece. Great snake easy to take care of and she holds it 3-4 times a week. She has been an extremely mellow snake, never aggressive once. We feed it live mice about once a week unless her eyes are cloudy & she is gonna shed. We got her from a site called poppy corns.com

Great breeder, awesome designer selection and a fair price. We got a butter motley & my daughter named her Banana. If you have any other questions ask away.

I would be careful feeding live! I saved a red tail boa once from a lady that was feeding it live rats. The rats bit her and clawed her. she was blind in 1 eye from live feedings.

And yes I know mice are smaller but they can still hurt a snake! At least give the mouse a whack against the table to knock it out or kill it right before you feed! I know it sounds "inhumane" or w.e. But so is letting your snake get hurt!

I have had both and in my experience corn snakes tend to be mellower. Granted there are many many kingsnake species that I have not been around opposed to cornsnakes that is 1 species with a couple subspecies last I knew. Another reason I like corn snakes is the extensive breeding programs with them, that, in general, have had more generations in captivity to make the unique morphs. I should add that while kingsnakes can do great on mice, many of them are "designed" to eat other snakes while corn snakes have evolved on a rodent diet.
