Corner overflows/drain acting up?

    Does anyone on here know why one of my drains in my corner overflow would be acting up and making a flushing sound every 15 seconds or so? I kept a lot of LR out of my tank when I scrubbed off all the algae is only thing that has changed in my tank. I fixed the problem by adjusting the vale on the return side of that overflow, just never had to do that before in the past year.

    salt creep in the overflow air hole . I drilled a hole large enough to put a straw in it that way you can adjust the water height.
