The other thing to consider in addition to everything else that has been said, is the ease of cleaning. My LFS has a half moon shape tank that is beautiful, but he often says how hard it is to clean. Standard mag floats don't seem to clean as well. Probably due to trying to clean a curved glass with a straight edge.

Also, when I look at his tank there is some distortion looking through the curved glass.

I love my 46G corner tank. Im a little concerned for the factor people dont think a 92g, would be at least 4 feet at its longest, True as it might be, but my 46G corner bow is almost 34-36 inches across the front.

For tangs not Ideal, most people would say dont put anything under 100G some would even say 180g. IMO as nice as corner tanks are and I love mine, I still would do the rectangular shape or maybe even a wave shaped tank. Those are always fun as well.

I run a Viper Clip HQI 150watt on my tank, and the only pain is the actinics that I run before and after, are well Having to be taken on and off the tank constantly. But the viper clip works real well for the tank.

hey maybe thats why ive never had good look with mag floats  thats the exact problem with cleaning my bowfront ive tried two different brand mag floats and they just dont clean, more like scratch. So im stuck using a paper towel, works so much better

lol it all makes sense now

thank you for the continued responses...i have not moved forward with anything yet but since I am in the homework stage of things, i really value the opinions and experience here.

i suppose the solution would be to move my 30 gallon into a nice 52/70 corner tank and then get the long 90+ for things like tangs etc :)

in the meantime, i am taking notes and really contemplating all the excellent feedback here!
