Forum I am poised to purchase the needed equipment for my new Oceanic 90g Bf.

I'm looking to purchase a Refugium i found on CraigsList. 11"W x 15"T x 36"L acrylic sump/refugium. It is cemented and caulked. Will work for any aquarium 90G or less. Brand new never used.

Is this a good size for the Aquarium?

Thats only a 25g, good for a 55g. Maybe look for a 40g breeder or larger. JMHO;)

It will, but I suggest getting as large of one as you can fit in the stand.

Agreed^^^^ a 10g can "work" get one that will work well. Bigger is better. Get the biggest you can do. 11" wide will get real cramped real quick.

    Forum:

After further reading i was wondering if it is possible to have a Sump/Refugium all in one does anyone make one or is this a custom item? Should they be two separate units?

I will be purchasing an in sump skimmer since the acquired tank is not pre-drilled. My base dimensions are 48 L x 17 W* x 25 H .

A 40g breeder or a 36Lx16wx18t would be fine. You can DIY the sump fuge with glass or acrylic baffles. Here is a pic of mine before I filled it. PS is a Boyu DG2520 with a 1400lph pump, Rio+ 1700 return pump with a 16x16 fuge. I have since removed the flex tubing and went with PVC. I put a t on the down pipe and a ball valve on the side going to the fuge to adjust the flow. Hope this helps.;)
