I wondered if anyone new the correct configuration of the plastic inserts that go in front of the sponges in the Aquapod Tank. My tank guy told me to keep them tight and as far down as possible so that it only filters from the top. Is this correct?::)

It is made so you can adjust the water flow coming into the sump to your liking. I have a little open on bottom and also on top of mine. It's really what you prefer.

I actually like to keep the bottom section closed because of my 3in sand bed. I was getting sand into the left rear chamber when I had it open..

Thank you I will try adjusting mine. Maybe that will get rid of the yellow/orange slime
