My dad just bought a 75 gallon tank at a yard sale. I was thinking of building a stand and canopy for it and selling it to help pay for my current build. From what I've heard, it doesn't leak and is in good condition.

What do 75 gallon tanks sell for?

    I'm pretty sure it's a standard glass 75 gallon (48.5" x 18.5" x 21.2") Not sure if it's drilled. We're picking it up later. I'll post on here when I find out.

I think a new aqueon reef ready 75 gallon was about $300 for just the tank last time I looked.

if its just a standard 75 non drilled, they sell for about $170 new. Used in good condition anywhere from $75-$100 depending on how good the condition is and how much someone is willing to pay.

if your just re selling a used tank you could get about $50-75 dependng on how clean it looks, with a stand and canopy you could probably get $150 maybe more if its really nice GL

I paid 350 for a used reefready aqueon 125 with hamilton steel stans and a wood skin. You can expect 1/2 of ne value if its in mint shape

Thanks everyone! So it's a standard 75 that isn't drilled. The top frame has a few tiny pieces missing on the inner lip, but it isn't something that should effect the tank. It came with gravel, a few decorations, and fake plants. It has a Rena Filstar xp2 canister filter, Aqueon 200w heater, glass tops (the hinge is missing on one of them, but I could always fix that) a single 48 inch T8 strip light, and some random parts, like a fish net and gravel cleaner.

So what should this all be worth? And would it be worth my time to build a stand and canopy for it? Will it bring the value up a lot?

the stand yes the canopy no, most don't want anything more than a glass lid.

if you clean everything and paint the lip to black to where it looks newer then you should be able to clear 200.00 top end. that's for a price down here.

Check Craigslist and see what they are selling for in your area. I just paid $200 for a new corner drilled tank. If you can throw a stand together quickly and it looks decent you should make a few bucks on the deal.
