Certainly worth a try. Mine grow great without any direct feeding...enough fish poo, algae and other goodies in water column enough I guess...:-/

(that stuff you scrape from glass makes for great coral food) ::)

I got mine at the LFS for $15 --I think it was on it's way out! I took the chance on it as I don't have good light. It has doubled in size and eats like a pig---I love it!

    Omard,

How would you go about dividing the heads. Just curious!

Just break off "head stem" from colony "clump" by hand, being careful not to touch or injure polyp part in any way.

Can then place frag elsewhere in tank. (I like to wedge between two rocks, as my fish will knock it about if I don't) - or could glue...(which I don't like, as is difficult to move later if need be...:-/)

Once coral gets adjusted to new location...it will grow like wildfire...

Thanksagain for the info! We just got one about a week ago (for $5) and moved it from quarantine to the display tank yesterday. It's not quite adjusted, I'm guessing anyway as it hasn't opened all the way back up. I did glue it in to a piece of rock but the piece of rock is mobile (but big enough to support it as it grows. My Royal Gramma has a tendency to headbutt things and knock them over...didn't think the frogspawn would take very well to that.
