Since my tank is still empty and I don't intend to get any fish for another 3 weeks, I feel ok with it. We shall see....

I did not quaranteen them but since I don't have anything in the tank yet, I thought, I'd take a chance.... the wrasse is still hiding under the sand.... but I'm waiting for the lights to go off..... he is definitely still alive...

Just an experiment, I caught them and just didn't want to kill them, so we'll see what happens.... the wrasse just came out of his hiding place :)

Pelado, I've been kinda biting my tongue on this one, so I am going to try and be as polite as I can.. First off, you really shouldn't be snatching up fish from the ocean, they can have a wide variety of diseases and pests which can do some serious harm to your other inhabitants. It's also regulated by law, but I don't know what the laws are in your area. You will usually need some type of permit or license to catch stuff from the ocean. You can't just go fishing and keep them in an un-cycled tank expecting them to live either, that's just inhumane. Now I will be honest and say I just skimmed through the thread(and some of your others) but in all honesty, It doesn't sound like you have a lot of experience keeping salt water fish/inverts. So please, read up on what the laws/regulations are and get a better know-how as to what you are trying to keep..

    :)

EDIT - I said "pease" instead of "please" lol...

I really appreciate your directness and honestly..... I feel bad and will never do it again... my bad!! I do have a licence but that doesn't mean I should put it in my tank.... you are absolutely right!!!!!!

That is great to hear, you will probably never meet a more direct or honest person than me(most of the time, but I get into a lot of trouble speaking my mind...).

I am really glad you didn't take any offense to what I said. Because in the long run I would rather try and help someone out than steer them in the wrong direction. :)
