could i get a sponge?

    im thinking of ordering a vase sponge from aquacon.com
    [​IMG] or a fan sponge[​IMG] care should i dose phyto,rotifer or marine snow

    Do not get the vase sponge, go for an easy one.

    No you do not need to dose. Some say their sponges do better with the administration of silicates but that is a whole other thread topic.

    Do not expose them to air during transfer. If the sponge starts to loose color or algae starts to grow on it you may need toincrease flow and change placement in the tank. Most sponges do not need intense lighting so that should not be an issue.

    If you can find what you want to buy somewhere besides Aquacon, I would do so. They have a horrible record for customer service when what you get comes in dead, or they take your money & don't have what you ordered, leaving you only the option of store credit and not the item you want.
