Could my tank cycle this fast?

    the first tank i setup i added a fish the second week.


    basically the story with fish is the more impatient you are with additions, the bigger the problem algae will become, algae is a uphill battle.
    you could probably add one small fish and it wouldnt draw out the algae blooms to much.

    I have some brown growing on some sand and live rock. I guess in the next couple of days if the number stay @ 0 i'll add one fish

    I'd like to have 2 clowns, a blue chromis, and a green goby total. which should i introduce first?

    Personally, I think its time for the clean up crew. Hermits, snails, crabs, etc. Need to get that sand mixed up and the algae eaten. Then time for a fish. From my experience, out of your list, the clowns are the hardiest. IMO.

    How many shrimp/snails/crabs should I start with. I dont want to put too many in and not have enough algae in there to support them... I took this pic a few days ago and since then there is a good amount of brown algae all over the sand bed and a good amount spreading onto my dead coral, as well as much more on the live rock

    So, (how many/which) members of a CUC should i go with to start and when?

    I would start with 2 snails per gallon and add one clown any time. Then nothing else except for some more CUC until the tank is 8-12 weeks old IMO.

    OH, and trust me, your snails won't starve, you will have plenty for them to chew on!
