Could someone take a closer look at this? ID Please

This is getting bigger, someone told me it was a "meaty algae"...the color is a deep burgundy. Is that what this is? Some of it has some bubbles inside them, they look like staghorns.

Botryocladia skottsbergii or Red Valonia. It is a type of bubble algea

 

Looks good for algae if you ask me!!!

 

I have a mythrix crab, why wont he eat this?

 

I dunno, maybe they just dont eat that type of algae. Like my mythrax wont touch the hair algae. Its just algae that wont be eaten by them.

 

OK my question is it good or bad?

Yes a Mythrix will eat bubble algae but odds are there is something it likes better in your tank

I know of a person with that algea, and his clownfish hosts it, , goofy colwn.

 

I want to know if it's a water problem too.
