    This is getting bigger, someone told me it was a "meaty algae"...the color is a deep burgundy. Is that what this is? Some of it has some bubbles inside them, they look like staghorns.

    Botryocladia skottsbergii or Red Valonia. It is a type of bubble algea

    I dunno, maybe they just dont eat that type of algae. Like my mythrax wont touch the hair algae. Its just algae that wont be eaten by them.

    Yes a Mythrix will eat bubble algae but odds are there is something it likes better in your tank

    I know of a person with that algea, and his clownfish hosts it, :lol:, goofy colwn.
