It's been like this since I put it in the 135, it sheds small pieces off the rim. I doesn't fully expand anymore.

June is when I set it up. So July is when I put it in. not peeling or sliming, more like pieces.

I took this pic today of the top of it.

i ve got a large one in a 55 and at the time by the lack of money and not realizeing it i ended up doing a little experiment. my lights witch are odyssea 4/65 watts where over do to be changed so i only was able to change two of them so i only did one side i thuoght ill be alrite just move a couple corals over. in that tank i have my sun's so they stayed on the dim side. the toadstool i couldnt move hes connected to a large base rock rite in the middle i thought he would lean towards the bright side but he didnt he leaned towards the dim and, he started leaning on the frist day. now he is on the move attaching its self further on the dim side. with all what was said i starting to think yours is not liking your new light. but who realy knows. what works good in one tank might not work well in another and they could be rite next to one another. the only thing i could think of is if you can try to take some window screen and cut it to a whatever size several layers to cast a shadow over it wait a couple days and then every other day take off one layer maybe hell adapted other than that propagate it. hope this helps

I'm moving it to the darkest part of the tank and we'll see what it does there. I think the lights over the 55 were actually brighter than the ones I have on it now. Different spectrum, just brighter.

I still say that you need better lighting, new bulbs. If it did well in your 55, which had brighter lighting, and now it has dimmer lighting, that could be one factor. Luna

the 135 has 4x96 watts more light than the 55.

    The 55 only had 4x54.

    Total the 135 has 4x96 + 4x54.

But like I said different spectrum.

    The 55 had 2x54 12k's and 2x54A.T.'s actinics(not sure of the spectrum)

I put, on the 135, 2x96 420nm's and 2x96 460nm's, plus it has the 4x54 12k's granted those(54's) bulbs are old, but they still put out light.

Maybe it does like the white lights. I gotta get hubby building that hood!

Have I completed my mission and confused everyone yet?? lol

But you are forgetting one little small detail. How deep was the 55 and how deep is the 135? Luna

Not to mention, where did you have the TS placed in the 55 and where do you have it now in the 135? Luna
