Hey guys, it's been awhile, but I"m back with a new question for you. I've been watching these small pod things grow into larger ones for awhile now. They're multiplying like crazy and getting into everything except the main tank. i.e overflow box, sump, gfo/carbon chambers. Im guessing the fish are eating them, which is why they're not in the DT. They seem to stick to surfaces and grow and don't swim around.. Anyone have an idea on what they are. I've been through the hitchhiker library briefly and could not figure out what they were with any certaintiy. Any suggestions on what I should do with them or are they cool to leave be..?

some type of pod put a bunch in the DT and watch and if the fish eat em just transfer some every now and then or make a place in the DT like a rubble pile and put a mess in there where the fish cant get to em and they will multiply in the tank and the fish will send you a thank you card from hallmark....just hope it isnt a flatworm.....

I had initially thought they were pods, too, but some of them look exactly like Scypha sponges (Pineapple Sponges). Do they crawl around, or are they attached like sponges?

harmless filter feeders. If you have loads of them it would suggest a high nutrient level in your water.
