Last param checks: amm 0.0, trite 0.0, trate 0.0, phos less than .5(API test), Calc 460, DKH 10, Ph 8.4. I do believe that I have some phosphate and nitrate hiding in algae(cyano). I also am finishing a diatom bloom. I just added a one spot foxface after my blue star leopard passed for reasons unknown a few days after adding.

How serious is mag to check? I have to order a test kit as no LFS carries it, and I don't want to waste my money if I don't need it.

I should probably add that I have never dosed anything, just regular WC with Reef Crystals salt mix.

Mg is quite serious. It is the stablizer for your alk and Ca.

Can you recommend a test kit? I am pretty open right now as I have to order one anyway.

    Thanks!

    Thanks,

It is a galaxy coral. My picture taking ability does not do it justice.

I use Seachem brand for my alk, mg and ca. They have a reference solution so you can test the kit to see if it is good and if you are doing it right.

I added the tang as a rescue from the LFS. It was in a tank with damsels and maroon clowns and was a third of the size of most of them(approx 1"). I quarantined it for a week, noticed some Ich and then treated with Cupramine for the required 2 weeks. Gave it another week and added. It is very happy now and has been a week in the DT with no signs of ICH so I am hoping I have kept it out. I know it will eventually probably outgrow the tank, it just gives me a reason to upgrade.

I also added the orange spot goby which I originally thought as a diamond goby, but isn't. Still a cool little fish.

The Frogspawn on the right is the one that was bleached and has colored up nicely.
