Couple questions, didnt know where else to post for ro/di and protien skimmers.

    Ok now im about set up with my 30 gallon, everythign but the fish. Protien skimmers, pro/cons. and ive seen you can make you own any good post if I should have one? And for RO/Di units, a must or am Easier to just get 10 gal of reef water from local pet shop to change water?

    Since you will need to top off daily with fresh water an ro/di is essential imo. A skimmer is a good idea. I use ASM.

    +1; ro/di is a must IMO too. trust me; it's gonna help out your tank a lot

    All though it is nice to have, I don't think an RO-DI is essential. you shouldn't have too much evaperation in a 30 gal. Just be sure to buy RO water from your LFS and keep 5 to 10 gal on hand...... All though an ro-di will probably pay for itself in no time if you are like me when at the LFS and buy more then water. ;D
