ive had my 45 gal freshwater tank up for about a year and a half and want to convert t marine because the fish are so much nicer looking. i have a aquaclear 70 filter, light, bubble wall, heaters, and basically the normal stuf you need for fresh water.

my question is what else do i need to put in the tank as far as hardware goes. i as going to do a wet/dry filter but i wanted to know if thy are loud because the tank is right next to my bed lol i only want to do a FOWLR tank no corals or anything right now

Are you sure you're only going to do a fowlr tank?

Id suggest a protein skimmer. I have a 150 gallon tank with canister filters that is a pain in the ass. Get it drilled if ya can.

+1 most people who say they will do a fowlr end up buying one coral, then another and another and then its a reef. I would invest in a decent lighting set up just in case, t5s are a good start for just about anything. and are going cheaper now cause of LEDS

Getting a tank drilled is a tank that has an overflow or a surface skimmer and with a hole for your return water. The tank would be getting drilled
