    No! once you unbox it it takes about zero effort to install! I'd get some miracle mud for the base and get some LR rubble and a wad of chaeto! it usually is laced with a ton of cool pods to seed with! Cheap as heck on ebay! I just ordered another set of chaeto chaulerpa and something else laced with pods! i've seeded my tank at least 8 times with different pods and phyto to prep for a mandarin! patience is what i keep telling myself, want the lil bugger to live happy, too cool to starve to death! good luck!

    I disagree about using MUD. Only thing it's good for is if you plan on using mangos. Otherwise a nice 2" sand or aragonite works great.
    I have my skimmer in my fuge. It has done very little to deplete my Amphipod or copod population. Just ask my Yellowtail Fang Blenny-lol-he's fat! I have my skimmer placed close to the intake so between the 2 flows they pretty much stay at the other end :)
