I think in general the CPR Bak Bak skimmers are decent quality products
never run one personally, but I have seen a couple in operation and thought they performed OK

    CPR Bak Pak Dual Pak

I have one on a 45 gallon show tank- it is the dual version (twin skimmer) and it works quite well. the key to this skimmer is in the collection cups- set them correctly and the skimmer works very well- set them incorrectly and the skimmer becomes a power head. there is also an center area- I use chaeto in this area, so it is dual purpose, a mini-sump/skimmer. Mine is very quiet, and that was my point in using it- my coral tank was designed for silence. As for bubbles- none- but I replace my pumps every few years. the pumps cost about 10 or 12 bucks each.

Oh and the flow output is gentle because of the size of the return- a feature I like. It is also virtually impossible to overflow on to your floor due to this also.
