OK, So my BakPak has ben running for a couple weeks now and I have a couple questions.

I get good foam bubbles in the cups and they are collecting a slimey brown stuff. But in addition, from time to time the cup fills with a brownish water as well.

    1.) Is this normal ?

I hear they need to break in before the micro bubbles go away. Again, the bubbles aren't constant but they are there more than they are not. They come out the two ports into the tank. Just makes the tank look cloudy is all.

    2.)
Are the default pumps adjustable ?
Will they go away over more time ?
Is there a way to stop them ?

    \Cheers

Jeez you must smell bad. lol!

Brownish water in cup is normal. There is some debate on how brown. I liked mine pretty dark.

Microbubbles will go down in time. You might be able to rig some floss on the output in a filter sock for now.

Can't answer the pump question. Maybe ObiWon can or somebody here!

Oooo, Oooo, I got a live one....

I am more concerned about the level of actual water. As if it goes to high, well, it could be messy. Yeh its brown water but its water after all. The sludge I can deal with but the water can overflow. Is something wrong ?

Is this normal ? I am emptying twice a day sometimes.

You can adjust the height of the cup on those right? Raise it a bit to darken skimmate.

Try moving the cup a little higher.

    OK, THanks
I slide the Oring so now it is 1/8" below water line.

Lets see if the water level subsides.

What is the maintenance schedule on Skimmers ? I usually take the filters out monthly to wash them out and stuff. Is the skimmer on a similar schedule ?

Taking it off, washing it out and cleaning the pumps ?

Sorry, this is my first skimmer..

    \Cheers.
