    I said mantis shrimp because I forgot what else causes the clicking. Good call.

    one last quick question before i do really go to bed should i make the effort to remove the possible extra pistol shrimp i can still hear clicking?

    I have no idea! They come under saltwater pest in my marine book but i struggled to id it in time anyway. If anyone has any idea why they are classed as a pest can you let me no!

    You can always put some kind of ""shrimp" gobie in the tank also they will live side by side in the hole in the rock and or sand bed under your live rock.. this way you can see them more often durin feedin..?? Just a idea.....

    I love that video, always have.

    Pistols are not bad really, they are just like most other shrimp and that means they are opportunistic feeders. Give them meaty foods a few times a week and they should be fine.

    Not sure about the crabs w/o a photo.

    Where did you get your rock from? There seem to be a lot of hitchhikers on it, which is usually a good sign, even if there are a few pests on it at first.
