crab/creature in my sump

    just went outside to have a look at my marine tank and i found this thing in my sump. it looks like a small crab! its about 1 cm round it is red and i think it has about 8 or so legs, i think it has came of the liverock in my sump and has been in my sump for 2 months(im Guessing) what kind of crab/creature do u think it is? it is hiding atm so its hard to take a pic.how big do these guys get?

    with any crab when in doubt toss them .

    No need to toss if its already in the sump, it can't hurt anything down there! He didn't even say he had a reef tank, he said a marine tank, so it doesn't matter if the crab is reefsafe, he just wants an ID.

    "Marine" doesn't necessarily mean "fish only". Even if it did, a lot of hitchiking crabs do eat fish. I completely overlooked the part about it being in his sump too :D

    what kinda crab is this and how bg will it grow?

    im realy happy i found him, i am thinking about setting up a small tank just for crabs and stuff....what does everyone think?
