Anyone know what crab this is? It has black claws, whitish/brown color, and has hair all over its body...

Pics are blurry cuz the crab is so small (size of penny).

try your best to get rid of it, any hairy crabs mostly do no good for reef tanks.. get it outtt :D

The pictures aren't clear, but that is not one of the common reef friendly crabs. That much I can tell you. Are the claws smooth or serrated? I would put it in the sump or find it another home, as crabs can be detrimental to reefs. It almost looks like a spider crab, but those are colder water than a reef.

I can't really tell if the claws are serrated or not.. the little bugger is so small. I guess i'll have to build my sump a little bit faster so i can put it in there. My tank is FOWLR for now.

I never trust crabs in any tank with fish or coral, they go by the rules of the ocean.

Your pics are too blurry, but it sounds like a gorilla crab--bad crab. I don't know how to make a link, but if you go to Tampa Bay live rock they have lots of pics of good and bad hitchhikers.
