Crab identity?

    Found this guy today. Porcelain crab? Anemone crab? Is he reef safe?

    Looks like a porcelain crab to me. Never had one but hear they're reef safe. H

    I've never seen one like that before, but those claws don't look very reef safe to me, I'd Quarantine until you know for sure.
    FWIW this is a porcelain crab (not mine) notice the filtering appendages?

    It has those filtering aPendGes! I just watched it trying to catch stuff with them then bring it to its mouth! Sounds like a filter feeder to me. But yea the claws worried me but after seeing that I'm not to worried. Any chance its an anemone crab like the one you posted? Will it go to my nem? Lol that would be cool.

    That doesn't look like a Porcelain Crab to me. I would send a pick to John at Reef Cleaners.:confused:

    Count the legs!!! Porcelin have 6 legs I believe and are not a ture crab but more closely related to lobster. If it has 8 then it is NOT a porcelin and is something to banish to the fuge or sump until ID'd and confirmed safe

    Got him for $10 at LFS. Here a pic of his fans out. Looks like 6 legs and 2 claws.

    I'd say porcelain with that picture and description
