I jsut got a new BTA on Saturday and today my electric blue leg hermit crab was dead on the rock above the anemone. I didn't think crabs were generally affected by anemone's. He was crawling around fine earlier today. Could the BTA killed the crab?
My shrimp have been over the anemone and they seem fine.
I really, really loved that crab!1:cry:

    Nope

It's a weird coincidence. The exoskeleton of the crab prevents stinging.

    OK I'm a dope!

The good news is my crab is alive!!! The bad news is I'm a reactionary dope! All he did was molt. Last time he molted the skeleton was in peices, this time it was very whole and complete. That is why I thought he was dead!!
I am feeling very relieved, but a bit silly this morning.:p
