We will be moving in a few months and I'm going to be temporarily putting the inhabitants of my tank into a smaller holding tank until we make the move. I wanted to take this time to clean out all the sand in my current reef tank before adding it to the new tank in the new house. My question is, do snails and crabs need to have sand in the tank or can I leave the tank bare bottom for a few months (2 months) until the move?

    Thanks!
