I personally would take it to someone who knows how to fix it, either your LFS or a professional.

When your building a tank, its better to have a one-piece bead of silicon/glue than to have it "broken", esp. on a 140g tank. Its easier to fix it now rather than 8 months from now when the tank is full of life.

haha well i have the bottom out now but to add to the bad luck shattered the front panel as well but just orderes the 2 new panels and will be here in a fortnight at the most. so when they turn up i will seal it all back together and take some happy snaps here is a pic of it before i destroyed it though haha. it has a corner style overflow box with 2 holes drilled in the bottom and a single return hole drilled in the back left hand corner. all the sides are made from 8mm glass and the base is 10mm the bucket is a 10litre bucket which i thinks about 2.5 gals.

Cool Deal. Where do you get the peices to wrap it up with? (frame) Are you making those also or special ordered? I like the Idea....I might just give it a go if I can order the frame and not have to make it myself....
