Yet your tang STILL HAS A PINCHED BELLY. I'm not ruining your thread, YOU ARE STARVING A TANG.

Now you're on your second tang that will eventually be starved. If you want to starve tangs, that's your right. However, please don't encourage others to do the same thing. That's HIGHLY irresponsible.

Let them learn from that then. Whatever happened to "people should learn from their mistakes" & this is a "learning experience" ?:-/

Ive only had him a few days, hes looking better, but the LFS sells out quickly and doesent feed them often.

I feed him mysis and a nice sized piece of algae strips once a day.

The fact is, honestly, we can't say that.

"Yellow tang,Pair of maroons,6 line wrasse, yellow head sleaper goby. and also tons of coral" -You

Maroons hardly belong in a 29 alone, yet there's also a tang.

We're not here to ruin your thread. We're trying to let you know that your husbandry practices aren't up to par.

You've resisted this at every single intersection, denying the possibility that you might not know everything, and taking the life of an animal into your hands while not having the tools to give proper care for it.

As inwall pointed out, it's already suffering from being in your tank, a fact you just don't seem to understand because of your blind belief that you cannot be wrong about the world you have created in your tank.

If you were really going to do the right thing for the fish, as you have said repeatedly, you would have realized you already made a mistake, there's an animal suffering because of it, and that you either need to get a bigger tank or to give it away.

That doesn't mean the mistake shouldn't be pointed out constantly to the person making it. Displaying the facts regularly will drive the point home better than the "oops, tang died, let's go get another!" attitude most irresponsible keepers bring to the fishkeeping hobby will when unchecked and unresisted.

Well you've got that "constant & regular pointing out" all figured out. How about maybe come back in a month & see what has changed, that being both for the better or worse? (I'm not trying to be mean.) You guys have just gone beyond the point of pointing it out & letting know. You're nagging. Maybe he isn't listening?...but he's got the point and will hopefully think about it and change some things?

He's stated he knows he should remove it in the future, when it grows larger. Let it be at that.

I'm an advocate of letting people know, directly, what you do to an animal.

What I recommend for you to do, before you say that the fish isn't suffering, is to eat what you would normally eat for breakfast over the course of a day. You also should lock yourself in a 10x10 room for that entire time and don't leave the room at all. See how that goes for a couple weeks, then come back and tell us how the fish isn't suffering.

I'd rather you realized what you were doing to the fish than have to pull the tang out of your tank. It's much more productive of an experience for everyone that way.
