I'm very new to sw tank and I dont want to make a mistake, so here goes. I have a retangular 75 with 4 inch sand bed, 90lbs live rock, a small clean up crew and a 20gal long refugium w/ red tang heaven and chaetomorpha in it. (Learned most of it here) Got most of my lr from a guy downsizing his tank and brought it home in water and straight into new tank. I'M 3 weeks into cycling, everything looks good (water, temp) and I'm planning my fish purchases to start in about 3 more weeks. Heres my wish list. Coral Beauty, Bangaii Cardinal, fairy Wrasse and I really want either a Naso or Power Brown Tang. Would this combo work. Would really like a Blue or Regal also. Ideas???

I would recommend three or four Pajama Cardinals over the Bangaiis as they have a much higher survival rate.  They will be schooling fish.  Very passive fish so must be added first.

Coral Beauties can be coral and polyp nippers.  Beware!  This fish if small can be passive as well, larger a little more aggressive.  Algeavore and will compete with most tangs for food.  Third addition if chosen.

Fairy Wrasse(s) very passive and docile, one male and two or three females will really encourage the male to display.  Second addition to the tank.

The tangs you mention here are usually very aggressive and are quite large as adults. They all would compete with the Coral Beauty.   A Convict tang or Yellow Eyed Kole tang would be better selections in my opinion.  The Kole tang will not compete with the Coral Beauty or the Convict tang as they eat different algeas.  The Convict or the Coral Beauty, as they compete for the same food source, but not together.  The tangs would be the last addition.

Add these every two months and you will have a very colorful and active reef community.

Until they get big, pair off and become mean to each other. Most cardinals don't conitnue to school in a reef aquaria when the reach maturity. There are a few exceptions, like the blue eye aka threadfin, but those are hard to come by.
