HI, Or anyone else that wants to jump in here. I wanted to ask craig what he feeds his tangs? I got a beautiful achilles tang(wild caught) about 3 weeks ago and I am having troubles getting it to each much. The pet store lady told me he was eating prime reef and frozen brine. It is still alive( of course) so it must be eating something I just havent seen it eat yet.I had it in a Q tank and just last night added it to my 125. It is doing good. Swimming in the open . I added food today and it shot behind the rocks till the food was gone.I put dried algae in the tank and the other fish ate it. He seems to get along with all fish. He actuallt swims with my yellow tang.Any ideas on how to get it to eat more?

Keep feeding him whatever your feeding your other fish plus you need to get a veggie clip or something to clip food on. Mosts tang like romain lettuce. I feed my scopas seaweed selects most LFS sell it. Just get whatever your going to feed him and clip it in the tank. He should find it within a few minutes if he doesn't find it that normally means he's not interested. It took me forever to find something my scopas tang liked. If he's new it may take some time for him to eat so keep an eye on him and make sure he's not getting too thin. I'm sure he's eating something. He's probably doing it while your not around. If you have any algae in your tank I'm sure he's chewing on that a little. You got an awesome fish. one of my favorites. Can you post a pic of him?

Try getting some live macroalgea from your lfs either have them pull some off the rocks the have or buy a rock with it on and put it in your tank

OK lol I've been trying all morning to get a picture of the little S@@t.lol He is so quick. He is absolutley beautiful, plump, very bright color and QUICK. I just tried some macroalgae and he swam away from it. I have stopped trying for a picture because he seemed to be getting stressed. Here is the best one I could get. No laughing now,lol

A wild caught will be more shy than other fish and may not eat in your presence. As long as it stays plump, no worries. Beautiful fish for sure Elizabeth!
