couldn't you remove the overflows and use the bottom holes for a return line with one of those valves that switch the direction of flow? Then install a overflow system that most of you guys use that hang on the back.

Hey man just to comment on your reptiles.

Make sure they get an adequate calcium supplement otherwise they can develop some bone problems. Kept dragons for a long time.

That would be the case if the return was above the overflow like most tanks on here. This tank has the return in the bottom ... see the photo below. If that leaks there would be no bulkhead like with the overflow to stop the draining... it would keep going until the water is below the leak, in this case all the way to the bottom of the tank. If anyone has any imput on how to do this safely I am egar to learn.

Well, the way they are, you can run the existing returns along the bottom as spray bars which could be hidden well enough.
Is there room to drill any more holes in the overflow?
Not to take anything away from jake, but I suggested the 3 or 4 sided view 5 posts earlier ;)
I would still test for copper. Hardly any copper treatments are colored, so the color of the silicon doesn't really mean anything as to if it was run in there or not. It's the anti-bacterial treatments that are usually colored.

    answer for Dasco

I found a listing on craigs list for a complete system only when i got there the cabinet was locked but no one had the key and the lady said "everything is suppose to be in it" ... that was easily verified by picking up the tank. There was nothing inside so i put the tank back. She said "no wait, i have another tank and lizards. They were her son's who died recently. When she brought them out i saw they were bearded dragons and the "other tank" was over 100g. This lady obvious needed the money, i didn't want to go home empty handed and my brother in-law owns a huge pet store so if i can't sell them i figured i could trade them for something reefy.
