    in person, cash only. You never know who your dealing with so you wouldnt want to accept a check or anything like that.

    Ditto,cash and in person is the safest way on craigs,sometimes even face to face isn't safe.Gotta use your head when meeting peeps.

    we're talking craigslist right? craigslist is usually local, so that means you, your money, and the item are all fairly close together. It someone wants to use paypal or something like that, tell them to put it on ebay so there is documented (at least digitally) proof of the buy/sale. That way if there is a deadbeat you have buyer seller protection. although like I said local I dont know why you wouldnt go cash in hand method.

    If i couldn't see an item in person from CL,i wouldn't buy it,there is no buyer protection like ebay.You're pretty much on your own.
