Well that truth about your skimmer going crazy if you just use conditioned tap water is true!! I have been using ro water since I heard about that, but I am broke this week so I just condition some water and poured it into the tank, well now there is a billion micro bubbles and the collection cup is over flowing. I wish I never did it....Crap!!! Guess I have to let it run its course...

lol don't be so hard on yourself. Just unplug the skimmer for a few hours and plug it back in. No harm done if its just one top off without RO water.

Yeah.....I feel for ya bro. I had to add 30g of conditioned tap to mine and I am about to plumb it and start skimming. I am scared for the first time in five days.

Hmmm. RO water is not available or feasible here, I've been using conditioned tap since day one ( I know, I know :-/), its never made my skimmer to anything abnormal.

I forget what the exact phase is but I think it something to do with the water tension. I have a cpr bak pak, and I was about to toss it. then I read about if you use non condition tap water that it raises the surface tension I though it was BS, well since I started using RO water all the micro bubbles that I was complaining about that I thought was the bak pak doing was because of the water. All my micro bubbles went away and now today I put in the condition water and all the bubbles came back.
