You are a brave soul !! I crashed going fast as hell once. Busted my wrist and leg and had legit, hardly any skin left on my legs !!

I have a business to run, and I can't do it if I'm a vegetable!! Bikes just ARE NOT worth it. I bought a 49cc Honda Ruckus instead :)

Glad to see your not to badly hurt or worse.

I have considered buying a bike 2 times.....

    1. Got a call at the dealership getting ready to sit down and sign that a friend just hit a patch of gravel which put him into the side of a truckbed which put a rib into his lung and he was gone. He had been riding for ~15 yrs, experience doesn't mean your invincible.

    2. On my way to go look at a bike 2 yrs later, got a call from a friend asking me to go pick his bike up.... he was on his way to the hospital after a crash similar to yours.

I gave up on bikes and just roll in tahoes now. Which reminds me... I will watch out for you/ other bikers as long as you stay out of my blind spots, I can't believe how many want to sit there like its a good spot to be in and then tell people to watch out for people on bikes..... I'm not afraid to take the curves at 90 either, but its alot easier if I don't have to watch for someone on a bike in my blind spot ;)

When I was 16, I laid my bike down doing 70. I broke my left ankle/foot in 8 places and didn't think I would walk again. Please slow down dude. The thrill isn't worth your life and leaving that pretty little lady behind.

Lot of sense spoken here about speed and the need to slow down.
I have ridden bikes for 25 years, currently ride a ZZR1400, ridden most of the European race tracks, rode thousands of miles, had the opportunity to ride my current bike 197MPH on a race track, I love bikes and believe that I do everything right, but thats not always what knocks us off.

Smarten up guys, helmet, gloves, jacket, boots, save yourself some unessesary pain and suffering by wearing the right gear all the time.

How many times have you seen some young guy wearing his gear, and some pretty little lady sat on the back in, vest top, hot shorts and sandals ! ! Crazy, why would anyone allow any one to ride like that, especially when the rider is. Wearing the right clothes.

I want to agree that the proper gear is essential. I have been riding since I was 5. Mainly dirt bikes but in the process of getting a street bike. Gear is so important as I want to point out how many times have you gone to a track and seen a rider wearing street clothes while riding. Never, And they don't have cars that are recklessly switching lanes in front of them, or been to the desert and seen someone wearing the wrong equipment. Very seldom. I just want to agree that the proper gear is essential and it is designed to help and safety is the most important.

I also want to say Toal that I am glad that you are not too seriously injured and you have some Angels with you buddy. It is also great that you have a good girl with you if she is taking care of you like you said she is. I hope for a speedy recovery so your girl doesn't have to do all the maintenance on your tank. Good luck and I'm glad your ok.

Glad you are alive and recovering ~ You are a lucky guy. Coming from a wife's view on this as my husband rides, we wives worry every time you go out the door on the thing. I occasionally go out with him. I like it but there are too many crazy arse car drivers who could care less and think it is OK to cut you off or pull out in front of you because they do not want to follow you. Be safe everyone and take it at a reasonable pace, relax and enjoy the scenery at 90 MPH you are missing a lot of good things passing you by.

NOW as for myself I enjoy driving my horse and carriage down some dirt back road doing about 35 MPH. He is a 6 yr old Standardbred retired race horse. LIFE IS GOOD
    Stay Safe Everyone
