Crazy looking crab showed up today!

With me and a crab I'd toss them all relly unless I knew for sure what it was.. That one is bad and you'd best toss it. Its a bad one to have came in on your rock or sand . Its a killer..

 

Do a Google search for "Teddy Bear Crab" and see if that's your critter.

not too sure about this but i remember seeing a crab that was called a decorator crab, it would use anything it could tear off and stick on its back.
it was big tho about an inch wide looked like a teranchula.
What you could try is to put some things around it that are very bright coloured and if it starts to use that stuff then you'll know for sure. My lfs used to have one he used to always put a piece of orange coral in with it.

 

I have not seen it decorate itself. But its worth a try, if I can find it.


The body shape sort of looks like a teddy bear, although it is hard to tell because most Teddy bears are extremely furry, mine is not.
