okay...i feel that i am relatively familiar with the common saltwater hitchhikers..but what i saw tonight has me stumped..i wish i could just post a picture but as soon as i turned the lights on it was right back in the rocks! So here goes my description..

first picture a 1cm long ghost shrimp..put two long tentacles on the front..then the little "mini legs" that shrimp have along their tail..replace them with longer regular legs..this little guy crawled along the rockwork on his side..

    any ideas?

okay i think it was just a HUGGGEE amphipod..it isnt wide enough to be an isopod..it's very narrow..i just turned the lights on for a couple seconds and saw 4 more scurry off to their holes..
