CrAzY prices...Or Is It Just Me?

I don't think location has anything to do with it if two stores in the area have prices that much apart.

I have the same issue here. The store that is the nicest has the highest prices and I get my dry goods there because dry goods are almost the same everywhere. The corals are outrageos as are the fish.

I get my fish for 1/2 the price at a different LFS.

And i get my corals from the same place the LFS does and pay half to a third as much.

 

I just got another vocal today for 10 bucks

 

Not here they're not LOL. The store we buy dry goods from is anywhere from $5 to $25 cheaper than all the other stores around. Of course, it's a totally different store than we buy livestock at!

 

I buy most of my coral, food, and dry goods from one LFS. IMO it is better as long as they have fair prices
On occasion I will buy a coral or something somewhere else, but usually it is just my main one

this could be influenced by the vendors supplying the livestock to these stores. different fishing methods and areas of origin can influence the price.

 

That is very true, but I think the main reason the place I went to was so pricey was because of the large staff, and large amount of aquariums.

 

just wait till the day before the LFS is about to get a shipment, mine practically give frags away. "Ok, we're getting shipments this week so if you buy to zoa frags (20 polyps each) for 10$each ill give you two free neon green favias."

IMO it just depends on the methods of collection, and where its from.

To Bargain with u anytime. The more expensive stores they always act like they don't wanna help u unless you have money
