I am sure we won't figure out what I seen the other night, but I am wondering if any of you seen anything like what I seen, about 30 minutes after shuting down all lights, I took my LED flashlight, I shinned it in the tank, then I seen these white worm/maggot looking creatures, but smaller, darting/swimming around in the tank, these things were fast, I mean like lighting fast, their was 3 of them from what I seen, then I reached over with my other hand and flipped on a light, then they really started freaking out, 1 went to the surface and looked like a speed boat darting all around, then the strange thing happend, it started to let out a white milky substance from its back side and left like a trail behind it with this stuff that came out of it, they curled in to a ball kind of looked like in shock or something until they disappeared.

i'll check that, so odd how something with no fins, legs, etc could move so fast, more so with all the water movement in there.

man you guys are good, very well may be what they are, they were attracted to the flashlight until I turned on a light, then they didn't like that light anymore, sure don't understand what the one shot out its butt, i'll have to see if these things are good or bad for my tank.

I hope that's all it was, hahaha! I was afraid instead of crap it could be something toxic to the rest of the tank, I don't trust any sea creatures, specially ones that come out only at night.

This might be what it was releasing.....

"worm exhibits unique breeding behaviour: during the breeding season, always at the same time of year and at a particular phase of the Moon, the worms break in half; the tail section (the “epitoke”), bearing reproductive cells, swims to the surface, where it releases eggs and sperm. Tens of thousands of epitokes swarm and release gametes simultaneously, attracting predatory fish..."
