Did you hear the news this week? Cree, Inc., one of the leaders in LED manufacturing - LEDs that you will find in several high-end aquarium fixtures such as AquaIllumination's new Modular LED System acheived a new record: Cree's R&D announced that they have hit 186 lumens per watt with a white LED! This is a big jump from current LEDs and foretells that 2010 will be a big year for LED fixtures.

I've been thinking about getting some new metal halides next year, but all the buzz about LED advancement has me thinking maybe I'll wait and see what happens.
