    Hey Guys-

I was hoping for some advice on a couple of softies in my reef tank...

I have Xenia and Capnella growing like weeds to the point that I'm going to need to harvest both.

The Capnella is constantly dropping off babies- I have had the mother colony for almost 5 years and now it seems to be budding way too often. The Capnella buds are easy to collect but I need to find someone willing to take them! There are only a few LFS's in Kalamazoo, I guess I could find out if they would take them for store credit.

The Xenia is going to be more problematic. Any advice on getting the colonies off the rockwork without tearing my tank apart?

    Any advice would be great!

you can cut xenia up pretty good. use a razor. if you don't want it to grow back in that spot, use pickling lime to cover the spot/xenia residue.
